Uber is a platform that helps people by connecting them with what they need, whether that's a ride, food delivery, or even ways to get around on bikes and scooters.
Introduction
I worked with the Rider Safety Team to design and implement the rider verification process, a feature designed to improve safety and trust across the platform. The rider verification process ensures that users signing up for the app are legitimate and accountable.

Whether you're a driver or a rider, trust is essential for a smooth ride-sharing experience. That’s why we introduced a rider verification system that allows riders to confirm their identities, providing drivers with an added layer of assurance and giving them greater peace of mind when they pick up riders.
With nearly two-thirds of active U.S. riders verified, we've significantly deterred fraudulent behaviour.
